Arrival and handover of the rental car with all the necessary documents.
Summary: You will receive written documents on all you require for the week. Tour through Machico, where the explorers landed and find out more about the story of an unhappy love affair, which sadly, ended here on Machico´s beach...
A hike at the Eastern Cape is highly recommended.

Day 3

Day 5
Porto Moniz, Hotel Euro Moniz
Take the "Antiga Rua", the old northern coast road which begins in Sao Vicente , to Porto Moniz. On the way, visit Sao Vicente and the small village church with a beautiful wooden ceiling. A little park with endemic plants and the impressive São Vicente Caves are definitely worth seeing.

Day 7, 8 and 9

Enjoy the beautiful pool overlooking the Atlantic Ocean or take a short hike to the Paul da Serra plateau, or in the Rabaçal nature reserve , which is densely covered by heather and laurel. We have many hiking suggestions! On the south coast you can experience many beautiful walks, one of which is the hike along the Levada Nova of Prazeres all the way to Ponta do Pargo, a picturesque village on the southwestern tip of Madeira Island. If you wish to do something other than walking, take a quick drive down to the pretty fishing villages of Jardim do Mar and Paul do Mar. Funchal, Madeira´s beautiful capital city, is a mere 30 minute drive away and worth while visiting.
