At the Summer Place Guesthouse you will find all the peace and relaxation a vacation has to offer. Summer Place is a very comfortable guesthouse with all the modern facilities one needs. The solar-heated swimming pool is a pleasant option on cooler days.

Near the house there are Levada walking trails and just behind the house is a bicycle route in the mountains.

Since the Sumerplace guesthouse is operated by the owners themselves, they have learned that providing their guest with a very personal and attentive service satisfies their guests. The location of the breakfast buffet varies as it is either served in the Panorama room or in the viewing deck in the mild morning sunk. In the Evening the owners welcome guests at the "Summerplace guesthouse" to view the "Sundown" on the pool deck. They will answer your questions honestly. On cooler evenings you can sit with a glass of Madeira wine by a warm fire. The owners speak German, English and French.

Each room is tastefully decorated and superbly equipped. Includes Flat Screen TVs, DVD / CD player and satellite TV / radio with programs in German, English, French and Portuguese. In the library there are over 150 DVDs.
Deluxe rooms include features such as a private terrace with table and chairs, direct pool access, and a bathrobe.

 A quiet country setting: The Summerplace Guesthouse is located in southwest Madeira Island, above the picturesque village of Lombada Cedros (Cedar Valley). The nearest restaurant is in Prazeres at approximately 4 minutes away. The Calheta sandy beach is approximately 10 minutes away and Ponta do Pargo , Madeira´s most western point is only about 15 minutes away. Further information on Calheta
