The Sé Festival

In late May until early June, Funchal´s city centre awakens to a new life in celebration of the festival in honour of the Sé. Every street and alley surrounding the Cathedral and City Hall are colourfully decorated. Out on the many outdoor patios, savour all types of traditional delicacies accompanied by music.

The Atlantic Festival and Jazz Festival

Classical music and jazz in an elegant setting with many great artists. During the month of June, various concerts take place in many venues such as the Teatro Municipal Baltazar Dias,Churches, concert takes place at the Teatro Municipal Baltazar Dias, churches and the Casa das Mudas Cultural Centre in Calheta.

Every Saturday night during the month of June, Funchal bay is lit up by a spectacle of fireworks and music as four pyrotechnic companies from different countries compete against each other.

The Monte Festival
