The picturesque small village of Porto da Cruz is located on the northeast side of Madeira island. Tourism is scared in this small village whose population lives mainly off the local agriculture.
- Sugar Cane Mill
Since Madeira´s early years, the cultivation of sugarcane has been the towns main cultivated product and today, it has one of the last working sugar cane mills.
Porto da Cruz has a small beach of volcanic sand, attended mostly by the locals. The bay is also popular for surfing beginners.
